Join us for a warm, practical conversation with Sebastopol estate attorney, Tate Birnie, about planning for the people and communities we care about—now and for the generations to come (l’dor v’dor).
In Jewish tradition, we’re guided by values like tzedakah (giving with purpose) and kavod (honoring those we love). Estate planning is one way we live those values—whether we’re caring for young children, supporting aging parents, looking out for a sibling, or thinking about the legacy we want to leave.
Tate will begin with the basics in clear, everyday language, then introduce a few accessible ways to include charitable giving (including supporting Ner Shalom). Most of our time will focus on common pitfalls—what people often overlook, where things can get complicated, and how to avoid unnecessary stress for ourselves and our loved ones.
This gathering is free and for Ner Shalom members at any stage of life. Come with questions, curiosity, or just to listen—you don’t need any prior experience to take part.
Please sign up for this free event so we can plan accordingly.
