An Evening with Standing Together

  • Ner Shalom 85 La Plaza Cotati, CA, 94931 United States (map)

Standing Together is a progressive grassroots movement organizing Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel against the Occupation and for peace, equality, and social justice. In their words, “The future we seek — peace and independence for Israelis and Palestinians, full equality for everyone in this land, and true social, economic, and environmental justice — is possible. To achieve it, we must stand together as a united front: Jewish and Palestinian, secular and religious, Mizrahi and Ashkenazi, rural and urban, and people of all genders and sexual orientations.”

Standing Together engages in protective action on behalf of Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank and was involved in ongoing protest against the war in Gaza. It works to envision a peaceful future and to build political power to help make it happen. In a context where no position is without struggle, Standing Together works to make a Palestinian-Jewish coalition viable and enduring, despite the many thorny issues that arise, including the question of Zionism itself.

Come join Amin Amara and Nadav Shofet, two leaders of Standing Together, as they discuss the organization’s work – its successes, its challenges, and its hopes for the future. For those who wish, there will be an opportunity to support their work. This event is free, but you must register.
