Join us in-person at Ner Shalom, or virtually via Zoom, as we gather in community for Transgender Day of Remembrance in collaboration with Celebrate Love. This is a time to honor the lives of transgender people lost to violence, especially trans women of color who continue to be most at risk. Our gathering will be a space of remembrance, reflection, and resilience. The names of those we’ve lost will be read aloud by Athena Rowan Gomez. We will spend time uplifting voices and stories of courage, as well as sharing our collective vision of a kinder world through listening, discussion, music, and community ritual. Together we remember, as we dream of a future where all trans lives are celebrated, and all people are safe.
This event is free and open to all. Sponsored by the Ner Shalom Tzedek committee. Light refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is required for this event.
