Ner Shalom Women's Retreat

Ner Shalom’s first-ever Women’s Retreat weekend, held at beautiful Walker Creek Ranch. An opportunity for the fabulous women of Ner Shalom to hang out, get to know each other better, and create community.

DATES: Friday, June 21 to Sunday, June 23, 2019.

These are special dates not only because of Shabbat, but also because the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, occurs on June 21st.  What a congruence of wonder!

The location is wonderful Walker Creek Ranch, located in West Petaluma.  Even though it’s only a 30-minute drive from downtown Petaluma, it feels like it’s a thousand miles away, surrounded by lush forests and farmlands.  There is a beautiful swimming and boating pond that we will use as well.

We will celebrate this Solstice Shabbat with lots of Ner Shalom music and inspiration for your body, mind and spirit.  There will be workshops offered on Saturday afternoon and Sunday mid-morning.  The food at Walker Creek is delicious and fresh, with many options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, dairy free and whatever else free you need.  We will serve Friday night dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

There are four different levels of accommodations as listed below.  The prices include meals, facility use, and lodging.  There are no private bathrooms, although the semi-private residences have bathrooms down the hall.  The campers will use a centrally located bathhouse.  The economy housing has bathrooms within the dorm rooms as well as use of the bathhouse.

·        Camping among the redwoods:  $185 (bring your own tent)

·        Economy housing (dorm rooms with bunk beds and a shared bathroom):  $250

·        Semi-private rooms (shared bathrooms and room with two beds): $345

·        Private rooms (your own room with a shared bathroom): $440

We are charging what it costs – this is not a fundraiser.

We welcome your suggestions for workshops you might want to offer.  We will definitely have an art project and yoga.  Everything else is open!

In order to plan this event, we’re asking for you to register now, choose your sleeping accommodation, and put down a small deposit to reserve your space. Please note that space is limited.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have questions, suggestions, or want to help!

Congregation Ner Shalom sits in what was once the Cotati Cabaret which, in the 1980s, was one of the premiere northern California rock and roll venues. The Thugz will perform on the same well-worn stage where Jerry Garcia performed in a side band he created with John Kahn, called Reconstruction.
