Ner Shalom Oasis
Wednesdays at 6 PM
Live Streaming on Facebook

We are all carrying the weight of this difficult time, and many of us feel torn in many directions at once. The Ner Shalom Oasis is a weekly opportunity to slow down and re-center. Each week, a different Ner Shalom spiritual or musical leader will offer 10-15 minutes of calming engagement – prayer, chant, meditation, song.

If you can't make it to join our cyber-community at 6pm, video of the live stream will be posted for you to view whenever it works for you

Just click here any Wednesday at 6!

Mission Statement

Congregation Ner Shalom is a warm and inclusive Jewish community. Drawing from our Reconstructionist roots and the soulfulness of Jewish Renewal, we embrace Judaism through ritual, social justice, music, learning and laughter.

Ner Shalomers

Welcome to Congregation Ner Shalom!

Ner Shalom is a Reconstructionist synagogue boasting a spirited and diverse community of people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Together we explore Jewish-centered paths of ritual, learning, song, community-building and mindfulness.

Ner Shalom offers Kabbalat Shabbat services to welcome the Sabbath, a wide range of classes, a book group, an elders group, Yiddish Tish, social justice projects, a religious school for our young people, and celebrations for kids with special needs and their families. We celebrate holidays together, support each other in times of need and mark the life cycle events of our members. We are proud to be a scent-free, smoke-free haven, safe for people with chemical sensitivities.

We welcome visitors, new members, interfaith families, LGBTQ folk, people with special needs - and you.

A Reconstructionist Synagogue
of Sonoma & Marin Counties

Synagogue in the Santa Rosa Area

Congregation Ner Shalom is a Santa Rosa area synagogue, located in Cotati and serving Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Sebastopol, Marin County and Sonoma County in Northern California. Synagogues are also called shuls, havurot, chavurot, temples or congregations. A Reconstructionist congregation is similar to a Reform temple or a Renewal havurah. All three are non-orthodox synagogues which practice egalitarian Liberal Judaism or Progressive Judaism. Our synagogue is about ten minutes away from Santa Rosa, CA. For driving directions from Santa Rosa or other locations, please click on the "contact us" link.
