Liora Talia Meier Jacob
10-22-05
My name is Liora Talia Meier Jacob and I am 12 years old. In the
fall I will be a home-schooled 7th grader. I will be in the home-school
program at Orchard View School. I live in Sebastopol at Two Acre
Wood Cohousing with my mother and father, Denise Meier & Michael
Jacob. I am an only child, but the kids here at Two Acre Wood feel
like sisters and brothers. My hobbies are playing flute, doing gymnastics,
acting, singing, and spending time with my friends and with my parents.
In September of 2002, my mom, dad and I went to South America for
three months. We spent the month of December at home, and then spent
five months in South East Asia. It was a great experience for a
fourth grader, and for my mom and dad, too. We learned a lot about
other cultures and their customs, and ate a lot of good food.
For my Tikkun Olam project, I worked at the Jewish Community Free
Clinic during the Clinic's children's hours. I sorted files and
made new ones. I sorted books with my friend Ryan, and we also walked
around the nearby shopping center and distributed donation collection
cans for the Clinic's new building fund. My dad is the project manager
for the new building which will be adjacent to Ner Shalom.
I hope to see on October 22, 2005, when I become a Bat Mitzvah.
Please help me support the clinic by bringing a book (in Spanish
or English) or a stuffed animal to the service. The clinic gives
a book and a stuffed animal to each child that comes in.
B'shalom,
Liora
