Jewish Family and Children's Services needs Income Tax Coordinator
Contract hourly part-time, temporary position December 1, 2006 to April 30, 2007.
Days and hours will vary, but will average 15-20 hours per week and must include
Saturdays during tax season.
Responsibilities include: recruiting volunteer tax preparers, clerical volunteers and Spanish
speaking interpreters, provide coordination, organization and supervision for the program,
including scheduling volunteer trainings, maintaining volunteer work schedules and coverage,
overseeing appointment calendar; compiling statistical reports and monitoring program,
review of all tax returns; liaison between volunteers, IRS and JFCS staff members; plan and
host volunteer recognition event at conclusion of filing season.
Qualifications:
Organizational and leadership/management skills
Basic tax knowledge
Basic computer skills using excel, word, and tax programs
Ability to deal with volunteers and the public in a helpful and supportive manner
Friendly, dependable and flexible hours
