SAY HI TO CHAI BABY!
This exciting new program of the Jewish Community Federation is
designed to give a true community welcome to newborn or adopted
babies in our community. The birth or adoption of a baby is a pivotal
time in a familys life and a great opportunity to become involved
with the Jewish community.
Chai Baby brings a box full of information about Jewish life, organizations
in the area and educational materials, plus many baby goodies
to families with new babies or almost new babies - assisting
them in creating a Jewish home and identifying opportunities for
involvement in Jewish life.
It is a warm, soft, and gentle introduction to Jewish life as we
know it here in Sonoma county. It hopes to be an easy and comfortable
way to enter the Jewish community, if the families are not already
part of the Jewish community.
AND Chai Baby relies very much on volunteers to make it happen!
The Jewish Community Federation, Sonoma region, will offer training
for those folks who would feel comfortable, are able, and who are
willing to make those deliveries. It will be a real mitzvah and
fun!
