Becoming a Kehillat Chesed
Becoming a Kehillat Chesed: Creating, Growing and Sustaining a
Caring Congregation
Caring Community Committees are a valuable resource for our congregations,
helping with the many serious problems facing individuals and families
today. The Union for Reform Judaism Pacific Central West Council
is pleased to offer a hand-on workshop on creating and sustaining
a Caring Congregation.
Current and future caring committee chairs and members will learn
how to begin and/or strengthen a caring committee, experience a
model healing service, learn about bikur holim (visiting the sick)
training programs, and share best practices for successful programs
and dealing with challenges.
Sunday, April 23rd from 12:45 to 4:30pm
Westin Hotel SFO (1 Old Bayshore Hwy in Millbrae)
Program Fee: $18 per person.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as space and materials
are limited.
Please call (415) 392-7080 x 29 or e-mail to RSchwartz@urj.org
